NAVITIME Japan receives growth award and launches new bus feature

NAVITIME Japan has been honored with the ‘App Ape 10-Year Award’ for its sustained growth over the past decade. The award, presented by Fuller Inc., recognizes apps that have shown consistent expansion based on ten years of mobile app usage data. NAVITIME’s total navigation service has seen its average monthly active users (MAU) increase year-over-year in nine out of the last ten years, maintaining near-record usage levels in recent months.

Additionally, the company has introduced a ‘Bus Stop Map’ feature to its ‘Bus NAVITIME’ application. This new functionality aims to assist users at 7,425 stations across Japan by displaying bus stops and station exits together on a single map. The feature is designed to prevent confusion at large terminal stations where multiple stops may have similar names or be scattered across a wide area. Users can now search for bus stops based on locations, such as specific facilities or current positions, rather than relying solely on exact stop names.
