Naxos Archaeological Park to host cultural events on September 12

The NaxosLegge Festival and the ‘Interpretare l’Antico’ series will host several cultural events at the Teatro della Nike within the Archaeological Park of Naxos on September 12.

As part of the NaxosLegge Festival, themed ‘Mythos. La sfida del pensiero mitico’, Marco Giorgetti and Charles Chemin will present the international project ‘DON Q’. This collaboration between the Teatro Stabile di Catania, Baryshnikov Productions, and the Watermill Center follows research and development phases held in Catania. The presentation will include a discussion titled ‘Con e contro Don Chisciotte’ and a screening of Fabio Segatori’s film ‘Don Chisciotte’, featuring actor Alessio Boni.

Additionally, the ‘Interpretare l’Antico’ review will feature ‘Katabasis’, a theatrical performance by Alessio Boni based on the sixth book of Virgil’s Aeneid. Scheduled for 6:00 AM, the production explores Aeneas’s descent into the underworld, utilizing the natural sunrise and live music by Franca Bongiovanni to enhance the experience of the classical text.
