NCDMB and Tommorow Africa train 200 youths in oil and gas

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in partnership with Tommorow Africa Limited, has completed a training programme for 200 young Nigerians. The initiative, part of the Community-Based Oil and Gas Enterprise Development Programme, aimed to enhance entrepreneurial skills and increase local participation in the nation’s oil and gas value chain.

The training was split between two locations, with 100 participants trained in Abia State from August 25 to September 4, 2026, and another 100 in Akwa Ibom State from September 7 to 17, 2026. Beneficiaries were selected from host communities and included young men, women, and persons with disabilities to promote inclusive community development.

The programme combined theoretical industry knowledge with practical field visits, allowing participants to interact with industry operators and stakeholders. The initiative received support from various government bodies, including the Abia State Ministry of Trade and Commerce and the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources.
