NDA leaders label CJP protests a conspiracy to destabilize India
NDA leaders, including BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut, have characterized recent protests by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar as a “deliberate conspiracy.” The demonstrations were organized to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, following allegations of irregularities in the voter list revision process.
Kangana Ranaut described the protesters as “anti-national forces” and “terrorist powers” attempting to destabilize the country and create chaos. She stated that the public would eventually unmask these elements. Similarly, BJP legislator Shrikant Sharma suggested that certain groups are attempting to make India resemble Bangladesh or Pakistan through these disruptions.
Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjay Nishad noted that while democratic protest is a right, making accusations without investigation is improper. Meanwhile, CJP maintains that the protests are a response to fraudulent deletions in the voter lists during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
