NDMC Vice‑President Kuljeet Singh Chahal leads 33rd Sunday tree‑planting drive in New Delhi

New Delhi municipal council (NDMC) Vice‑President Kuljeet Singh Chahal headed the 33rd consecutive "One Tree for Mother" tree‑planting campaign on Sunday, 19 July, at the Women's Technical Institute in Netaji Nagar. The event, part of a weekly green initiative encouraged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, invited citizens to participate in planting and caring for trees as a collective responsibility.

Chahal highlighted that the campaign is supported by NDMC’s collaborations with universities, embassies and other institutions for larger‑scale planting programs. He stressed that planting must be followed by regular maintenance, inspection and protection, and after the ceremony he inspected the institute’s facilities.
