NEAR Protocol expands infrastructure and integrates with Solana
NEAR Protocol has expanded its infrastructure by activating 17 independent operators on its mainnet multi-party computation (MPC) network. This move, supported by a long-term funding program governed by token holders, strengthens Chain Signatures, the signing layer used for NEAR Intents to facilitate cross-chain transactions.
Simultaneously, NEAR has launched an integration with Sunrise, a liquidity layer on Solana. This integration allows NEAR liquidity to flow directly into Solana wallets and aggregators like Jupiter and Raydium without the need for manual bridging. Following the announcement, the NEAR token saw a price increase of approximately 14%.
Other recent developments for the protocol include the launch of a Bitwise spot NEAR ETF and the processing of over $33 billion in all-time volume through NEAR Intents.
