NEAR Protocol infrastructure and feature expansion
Overview
NEAR Protocol has implemented several technical and liquidity-focused updates. The protocol expanded its infrastructure by activating 17 independent operators on its mainnet multi-party computation network to strengthen its Chain Signatures signing layer. This was accompanied by an integration with Sunrise, a liquidity layer on Solana, which enables NEAR liquidity to flow into Solana wallets and aggregators without manual bridging.
Additionally, the protocol introduced a cross-margin option for its Hyperliquid-powered perpetuals interface. This feature allows multiple positions to utilize a single shared balance at the account level. While NEAR emphasizes the confidentiality of deposits and withdrawals to Hyperliquid accounts, the system notes that Hyperliquid’s perpetual order books remain visible on-chain.
