NEC launches Lavie BT53C enterprise tablet with Intel AI NPU
NEC announced the Lavie BT53C, a 13‑inch convertible tablet aimed at corporate customers. It is built around Intel’s latest Panther‑Lake Core Ultra‑Series‑3 processor and includes a dedicated Neural Processing Unit capable of up to 49 TOPS, enabling AI workloads to run locally without cloud reliance. Security features such as Intel vPro, Microsoft Pluton and TPM 2.0 are integrated, and the device ships with Windows 11 Pro.
The tablet’s specifications also include a 2880×1920 IPS display with 500‑nit brightness and a high‑performance battery. NEC plans to start sales in Japan in September 2026, while a European release date has not yet been set.
