NEC expands AI initiatives in supply chain, career development, and misinformation detection

NEC Corporation is expanding its AI-driven business initiatives through several new developments. The company will launch NEC Learning & Career Co., Ltd. on October 1 to support employee growth and career development in the AI era by integrating human resources development functions.

In the realm of operational efficiency, NEC is releasing the ‘NEC SCM AI Agent’ in September. This solution aims to automate supply chain management tasks, such as demand forecasting and production planning optimization, by utilizing large language models and machine learning to reduce reliance on manual labor.

Additionally, NEC has been selected for a third consecutive year by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to continue its project developing technology to support the identification of false or misleading information. This AI-driven technology will assist in analyzing text, images, audio, and video to help news organizations and government agencies verify content accuracy more efficiently.
