NEET candidates miss exam after Google Maps misplaces Muradabad test centre

Two NEET aspirants in Muradabad, Uttar Pradesh, were unable to reach their exam centre on time because Google Maps displayed an incorrect location for the RN Inter College venue. One student, Fayaz Ali, saw the centre marked about 29 km away in the Kant Road area, while the actual site is in the Civil Line police station area of Muradabad. Arriving ten minutes late, he and another candidate, Sarthak, were denied entry despite pleading with police and officials at the gate.

The students’ families reported the incident to authorities, who said they would investigate the mapping error. The cases highlight concerns that technical glitches can unfairly penalise hardworking students, prompting calls for remedies to prevent future occurrences.
