India's NEET UG 2026 Counselling Registration Opens

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened online registration for the first round of NEET UG 2026 counselling on August 5, 2026. The process, which covers MBBS, BDS and select B.Sc. Nursing seats under the 15 % All‑India Quota, runs through the portal mcc.nic.in. Candidates must complete registration, pay the applicable fee (₹1,000 for general AIQ seats, ₹500 for reserved categories, higher fees for deemed university seats), and lock their college choices between August 6 and August 13. Seat allotment results are scheduled for August 17, with reporting to colleges from August 18 to 22.

The MCC also introduced revised guidelines for Persons With Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) to improve accessibility during counselling. The schedule includes a non‑refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit, with payment options via credit/debit cards, net banking or UPI. The NEET UG 2026 counselling operates alongside state‑quota admissions, which are handled separately by individual state authorities.
