KEA and MCC release Round 2 medical seat allotment results

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) have released the Round 2 provisional seat allotment results for the 2026 medical and dental counselling processes.

In Karnataka, the KEA scheduled the publication of the UGNEET-2026 second-round provisional allotment for medical and dental courses on September 11. To accommodate candidates participating in both KEA and MCC counselling, a ‘Choice-4’ exit window has been established. This window allows candidates who secured seats through both processes to exit KEA counselling to pursue MCC seats. The window is open from 3 pm on September 11 until 5 pm on September 14. A re-run of the allotment process will occur following this window to finalize results, which may lead to seat upgrades based on availability.

Nationally, the MCC has released its Round 2 provisional seat allotment status. The data provides an indicative analysis of closing ranks across various institutions, including AIIMS and various government medical colleges. While top-tier institutions like Madras Medical College remain highly competitive, allotments in newer government colleges have been recorded at significantly higher ranks across different categories.
