NEET UG Re‑Exam Held Under Tight Security in Indore and Flood‑Hit Conditions in Rajasthan

India’s National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG re‑exam was conducted on June 21, 2026 with extensive security arrangements in Indore. Police and administration placed the city on high alert, deploying two‑layer CCTV, help desks for document verification, and a control room. Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh inspected 57 centres serving about 23,000 candidates, emphasizing that any misconduct would be prosecuted.

In Rajasthan’s Sikar district, the same re‑exam faced severe rain‑induced water‑logging at the PM Shri Government Higher Secondary School in Singrawat village. Flooded entryways forced officials to set up wooden benches as temporary bridges, while police and local officials, including Deputy Tehsildar Rajendra Singh Chauhan and Police Sub‑Inspector Sunita Meena, supervised drainage using motor‑pumps. Candidates and parents complained about the lack of prior preparation despite early weather alerts, but authorities said they took immediate action to allow the exam to proceed.

Both locations reported that despite the disruptions, the NEET UG re‑exam proceeded without major incidents, ensuring that thousands of aspirants could complete the test.
