Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar reaffirms loyalty to Tuanku Muhriz

Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim has issued a statement affirming his full support and loyalty to Tuanku Muhriz as the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan. This declaration follows claims made by the Undang Yang Empat regarding a purported proclamation of abdication.

The Undang Yang Empat, including the Tunku Besar Tampin and Datuk Shahbandar Sungei Ujong, alleged that Ismail signed a proclamation of abdication for Tuanku Muhriz on August 3 at Istana Laguna Biru in Port Dickson. They claimed the signing was completed in accordance with the Negeri Sembilan State Constitution 1959.

While Ismail stated he respects the views of the Undang Yang Empat, he emphasized that his current focus remains on fulfilling his duties as Menteri Besar for the interests of the people and the state. However, sources close to the matter suggest the crisis may persist, as some claim the signed proclamation remains valid despite the Menteri Besar's recent expression of loyalty.
