Negeri Sembilan state election early voting records 91% turnout

Early voting for the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN) took place on 28 July at 38 polling centres across the state. The exercise was open to members of the Royal Malaysia Police, the General Operations Force and the Malaysian Armed Forces together with their spouses. Out of 16,467 eligible security‑force voters, 14,995 cast ballots, yielding an overall early‑voting turnout of 91.06 percent.

The police contingent posted the highest participation at 93.24 percent (4,824 of 5,174), while the armed forces recorded an 87.02 percent turnout (9,827 of 11,293). The early‑voting rate far exceeds the 59.80 percent recorded in the 2023 election. State officials, including Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, visited polling sites during the exercise.

In a separate statement, UMNO deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin urged all security personnel to vote for Barisan Nasional, arguing that the coalition can provide stability, development and prosperity for Negeri Sembilan.
