Neil Bush supports Democrat James Talarico in Texas Senate race

Neil Bush has announced his support for Democratic candidate James Talarico in a highly contested Texas Senate election. Talarico is running against Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton, who has the support of Donald Trump.

While social media reports falsely claimed that former President George W. Bush endorsed Talarico, his office previously stated he has withdrawn from presidential politics and would not support either major candidate. However, two members of the Bush family are backing the Democrat in this race.

The election is viewed as a critical opportunity for Democrats to gain ground in a Republican-held seat as they attempt to flip control of the Senate. Currently, Republicans hold a 53-47 majority, and Democrats require a net gain of four seats to secure control.
