Neil Peart documentary premieres at Toronto International Film Festival

The documentary ‘Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple’ premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, serving as a tribute to the late Rush drummer who passed away in January 2020. Directed by Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen, the film chronicles Peart’s journey from his youth in Hamilton to his status as a rock icon, exploring the artistry and philosophy behind his drumming and lyricism.

To honor Peart’s legacy, Rush members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson collaborated with several prominent drummers, including Stewart Copeland, Danny Carey, Chad Smith, and Gavin Harrison. These musicians participated in jam sessions playing classic Rush tracks to embody Peart’s spirit. The premiere was attended by Lee, Lifeson, and Chad Smith.
