Nene Royal advances to America’s Got Talent finale

Thai singer and guitarist Nene Royal, born Rattikarn Amloy, has secured a direct spot in the finale of the 21st season of America’s Got Talent. During the quarterfinals, judge Mel B awarded her the ‘golden buzzer’ following a performance of Soundgarden’s ‘Black Hole Sun’.

Royal’s journey on the competition has been marked by high-profile rock covers, including ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries and ‘Hysteria’ by Muse. Her audition for ‘Zombie’ reportedly became the season’s most-watched segment, garnering over 219 million views across various platforms within nine days.
