Nene Royal wins America's Got Talent Season 21

Overview

Following her victory in the Season 21 finale on September 22, 2026, Nene Royal (Rattikarn Amloy) was officially crowned the grand champion during the two-hour results show broadcast on September 23. The 16-year-old singer and guitarist from Phuket, who has performed under the stage name Nene Royal since age 12, expressed shock at her win.

In addition to the US$1 million prize, Royal has secured a headlining performance opportunity in Las Vegas. Having gained prominence through her heavy metal and rock-influenced performances, she stated her intention to use her new platform to expand her artistry into songwriting and playing multiple instruments. Her path to the championship included viral performances of rock classics such as The Cranberries’ ‘Zombie’ and Soundgarden’s ‘Black Hole Sun’. During the season finale in California, she performed ‘Seven Nation Army’ by The White Stripes and shared the stage with the American band Linkin Park for a rendition of ‘The Emptiness Machine’.

Royal’s victory marks the first time a Thai national has won the competition, prompting significant celebration in Thailand and congratulations from Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. To honor her achievement, Siam Piwat and its partners have organized a victory parade and reception in Bangkok titled ‘Welcome NENE ROYAL: Win The World for Thailand’. Scheduled for October 4, the parade will travel from Siam Paragon through landmarks including the National Stadium and Chulalongkorn University. Additionally, private-sector partners have been invited to contribute to a scholarship fund for the performer to support Thai talent on the global stage.
