Neo-Nazi rally scheduled in Trentino sparks calls for intervention

An international neo-Nazi rally titled ‘Ritorno a Camelot’ is scheduled to take place from September 3 to 6 in Pietramurata, in the Trentino region. Organized by the Veneto Fronte Skinheads, the event is expected to draw extremists from across Europe, including Spain and Ukraine, as well as participants from Canada.

The program includes concerts by ‘RAC’ (Rock Against Communism) groups featuring content described as racist, antisemitic, and white supremacist. Angelo Bonelli, a deputy for Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra (AVS), has submitted a parliamentary inquiry to Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, calling for the event to be stopped. Bonelli identified the directing network as Blood & Honour, a neo-Nazi organization sanctioned by the UK government for inciting terrorism.

In response to the potential risks to public order, the Trento Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security has convened to evaluate necessary countermeasures. The organizers, who have roots in Lonigo, Vicenza, have held similar gatherings in the past.
