Nepal flood relief: Companies donate millions to disaster fund

Multiple organizations have pledged financial and material support to Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund following catastrophic floods caused by an ice-rock avalanche in the Bhote Koshi River. The disaster has severely impacted the Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading districts, destroying infrastructure and causing loss of life.

Key contributions include:

• inDrive donated NPR 7.5 crore (approximately USD 500,000) to support rehabilitation and recovery efforts.

• AIWIBI Australia, via its distributor Shubham Health Care Products, contributed Rs 5 million.

• Forward Microfinance donated NPR 3,000,665, sourced from both corporate social responsibility funds and voluntary staff contributions.

• PUBG MOBILE Nepal provided essential supplies, including food, blankets, solar lights, and hygiene products, to the Galchhi Rural Municipality for distribution in Nuwakot and Rasuwa.

In addition to monetary donations, several entities are providing direct relief materials such as induction stoves, sanitary pads, and emergency lighting to displaced families.
