Nepal flood relief: NADA and MIT Group Foundation provide aid

Various organizations and individuals have launched relief efforts to assist those impacted by devastating floods in Nepal, specifically in the Nuwakot, Timure, and Rasuwa regions.

The NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal has distributed relief materials in Nuwakot and Rasuwa. Additionally, the association contributed NPR 1 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund following a meeting with Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle.

In a separate initiative, former Non-Resident Nepali Association president Shesh Ghale and his wife, Jamuna Ghale, through the MIT Group Foundation, have pledged up to Rs 578.5 million in long-term support for children affected by the Bhotekoshi floods. An agreement was signed with the National Child Rights Council to fund education through Grade 12, as well as food, healthcare, and basic needs for affected minors. This comes as UNICEF reports that approximately 17,000 children in Rasuwa require mental health and psychosocial support due to the disaster.
