Nepal house survives massive floods caused by glacier collapse

A green house in Dhunge Bazaar, Nepal, has gained international attention after surviving a massive flood caused by a glacier collapse in the Himalayan region between Nepal and Tibet. While the surrounding area was devastated by a torrent of water, mud, and debris that destroyed roads, bridges, and other buildings, the Pyakurel family home remained standing.

During the event, the family was forced to watch the destruction from their third-floor balcony and later from their roof as the water rose. The house has since become a viral sensation, with many visitors traveling to the site to take photographs. It has even been marked on Google Maps as a ‘flood-proof’ attraction.
