Nepal floods: Families seek answers for missing Australians

Families of Australians missing in Nepal following devastating floods are demanding transparency and cooperation from authorities. Of the 601 people currently missing in the region, 36 are reported to be Australian nationals.

Among the missing are Karan Bhardwaj, Arpan Mithalal Kothari, and Bhavin Raval, who were traveling with Kailash Journeys when the disaster occurred. Families have issued statements calling for a complete account of the group’s final movements, specifically requesting information regarding who last saw the travelers and what actions were taken immediately after contact was lost.

In addition to seeking answers from Kailash Journeys, families are calling for full cooperation between Nepali and Chinese authorities to assist in the search efforts, including the sharing of phone data, CCTV footage, and witness accounts.
