Nepal government building collapses into river during floods

A government building in Baglung, western Nepal, collapsed into the Daram River following days of torrential rain and devastating floods. Video footage captured the moment the building's foundation was eroded by water, causing the entire structure to fall into the river.

Authorities reported that no casualties occurred during the collapse as important documents and computers were evacuated in time. However, the incident is part of a larger pattern of extreme weather in the region; recent floods and landslides in Nepal have claimed at least 27 lives. The country remains highly vulnerable to climate-driven weather extremes due to its mountainous terrain and fragile infrastructure.
