Nepal monsoon brings rain and snowfall to multiple provinces

The monsoon remains active across Nepal, with the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) reporting that the monsoon trough is currently near its average position. The Himalayan and hilly regions are experiencing generally cloudy conditions, while various Terai areas report a mix of clear, partly cloudy, or rainy weather.

Moderate rain or snowfall is expected in several Himalayan and hilly areas, including parts of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Additionally, moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is forecasted for various Terai regions, including Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

The MFD has advised residents in areas vulnerable to heavy rainfall to exercise caution, noting that intense precipitation could increase the risk of debris flows.
