Nepal PM Balendra Shah says government will run until its agenda is fulfilled

Prime Minister Balendra Shah told delegates at the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s first national convention in Chitwan that his government is travelling on an “expressway” and will not stop until it reaches its stated goals. He urged other political leaders to respect the public mandate, stressed that the RSP is a progressive, work‑oriented party, and rejected factional politics.

Shah also reiterated Nepal’s claim to the disputed border areas of Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh, saying the country has evidence of its ownership and will resolve the issue through dialogue with neighbors. He pledged the administration will act within rules, combat abuse of state assets, and focus on issues such as squatters and cooperative fraud.

The remarks were part of a broader call for good governance, transparency and public trust, with other party leaders, including Nepali Congress and RPP figures, commenting on the need for healthy competition and institutional reform.
