Nerpio hosts final Living Rural festival event in Albacete

The Living Rural Castilla-La Mancha festival will hold its final event in the province of Albacete this Saturday, September 19, in the town of Nerpio. This marks the conclusion of the third edition of the itinerant festival, which aims to combat depopulation by bringing culture, music, gastronomy, and leisure to small, sparsely populated municipalities.

The event in Nerpio will feature a variety of activities, including senior sports, live radio broadcasts featuring local residents, children's theater, and gastronomic tastings. Musical performances in the Plaza Mayor will include Sara Beteta, Danny King, and DJ Armin Heidari.

In its third edition, the initiative has expanded to reach a total of 20 depopulated localities across the Castilla-La Mancha region. The festival serves as a tool for regional revitalization, transforming town squares and streets into open-air stages and shared community spaces.
