Living Rural Castilla-La Mancha festival

Overview

The third edition of the Living Rural Castilla-La Mancha itinerant festival is touring various municipalities to combat rural depopulation through culture, gastronomy, and entertainment.

In early September, the festival concluded its tour of the Guadalajara province in El Pobo de Dueñas. The program included activities for seniors, children’s theater, and musical performances. Rosa María García, the Junta delegate in Guadalajara, noted that while employment and services are vital, residents should not have to renounce access to leisure and culture.

The festival’s third edition expanded to reach a total of 20 depopulated localities across the Castilla-La Mancha region. The tour concluded in the province of Albacete with a final event in Nerpio, featuring local radio broadcasts, gastronomic tastings, and musical sets in the Plaza Mayor.
