Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's grandnephew protests 'Fauzi' film teaser
Chandra Kumar Bose, the grandnephew of Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, has demanded the removal of the teaser for the upcoming film 'Fauzi' starring Prabhas. The objection stems from a sequence set in Berlin in 1942 that depicts a fictional exchange between Bose and Adolf Hitler.
Representing 'The Open Platform for Netaji', Chandra Kumar Bose has written to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, requesting the withdrawal of the teaser and a revised version. He has also called for an investigation into the Censor Board's approval process and action against the officials who permitted the footage, arguing that the film trivializes the historical significance of the freedom fighter by blending historical figures with fictional narratives.
The film, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Maitri Movie Makers, is scheduled for release in March 2027. The teaser, titled 'File No 25', was released on October 23 to coincide with the actor's birthday.
