Netanyahu slams Erdogan as 'antisemitic dictator' amid Israel‑Turkey diplomatic fallout

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sharply criticised Israel, likening Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Adolf Hitler and accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza. In a forceful rebuttal, Netanyahu called Erdogan an “antisemitic dictator” who commits genocide against Kurds, supports Hamas, suppresses his own people and imprisons political opponents. He dismissed Erdogan’s accusations and warned that Israel and its Defense Forces will continue strong operations against Iran and its allies wherever required.

The exchange marks a new low point in Israel‑Turkey relations, which have been strained since Israel’s military actions in Gaza began in 2023. Both leaders exchanged accusations of human‑rights violations, further escalating diplomatic tensions in the region.
