Netflix announces ‘Minerva – La Scuola’ teen drama set in Naples

Netflix has released the trailer for its new eight-episode teen drama series, ‘Minerva – La Scuola’. Directed by Ivan Silvestrini, the series is set in a strict military high school in Naples, Italy.

The show explores the tension between rigid institutional discipline and the emotional lives of adolescents. The school environment is characterized by strict rules, including a ban on mobile phones, civilian clothing, and romantic relationships. The curriculum includes traditional subjects alongside military tactics and fencing.

The narrative follows three main protagonists: Salvo, a student from a foster home seeking the truth about his best friend; Vincenzo, who aims to follow in his father's footsteps; and Camilla. The series was previewed at the Giffoni Film Festival 2026 and is scheduled for global release on September 22, 2026.
