Netflix announces release date for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2

Netflix has announced the release date for ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2’, a new ten-episode standalone anime anthology set in the Night City universe. The series is scheduled to premiere on October 20, 2026.

Produced through a collaboration between CD Projekt RED and the Japanese animation studio Trigger, the project follows a new set of characters rather than continuing the story of the 2022 hit. The new cast includes characters such as Weak Kingsley, a former cyberpunk legend living without bodily enhancements, and the nomad D, who is on a quest for vengeance.

A new trailer has been released to preview the action-oriented series, which features music by the artist duo DOUDOU.
