Netflix begins production of 'This Summer Will Be Different' series in Prince Edward Island and Toronto

Netflix announced that production has started on the television adaptation of Carley Fortune’s bestselling romance novel *This Summer Will Be Different*. The ten‑episode series is being filmed on location in Prince Edward Island and in Toronto, Canada.

The show stars Sophie Nélisse as Lucy, with Francesca Reale and Roby Attal in supporting roles. Recurring cast members include Jordan Rodrigues, Jude Wilson, Natalie Brown, James Tupper, Tom Barnett and Celia Owen. Creators and showrunners Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart also serve as executive producers alongside Fortune and Sphere Media’s production team.
