More than 50 television series and specials were cancelled from January through June 2026 across major broadcast and streaming platforms, including Netflix, CBS, NBC, Prime Video, Peacock, Fox, Hulu, HBO and the BBC.

Notable cancellations listed include Netflix’s The Boroughs, Ponies, Gen V and Law & Order: Organized Crime; CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert; NBC’s Law & Order: Organized Crime (final season); Prime Video’s Gen V; and the BBC’s Doctor Who 2026 Christmas Special, among many others.

While dozens of titles were dropped, some programmes secured renewals at the same time, such as HBO confirming a second season of Harry Potter and Prime Video renewing Invincible for its sixth season.
