Netflix announces production start for ‘The Watcher’ season 2

Netflix has officially announced that production for the second season of the mystery horror series ‘The Watcher’ is scheduled to begin this fall in New York. This development comes approximately four years after the series was initially renewed in November 2022.

Key cast members from the first season are confirmed to return, including Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale, Margo Martindale, and Isabel Gravitt. The announcement also clarifies that the series will not follow an anthology format, meaning the core Brannock family characters will continue their storyline rather than being replaced by a new cast.

Created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, the series is loosely inspired by a true story involving a family receiving mysterious letters in a New Jersey home. Ian Brennan will serve as the showrunner for the second season, while Ryan Murphy and Naomi Watts will serve as executive producers.
