The film ‘Elize: Sombras de Uma Mulher’ has become Netflix’s most-watched non-English language film globally. Since its release on July 22, the production has maintained a position in the global Top 10 for three weeks.

According to platform data, the film recorded 7.3 million views in a single week and appeared on trending lists in 62 different countries, including Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Egypt, Morocco, Argentina, and Mexico.

Directed by Felipe Vellas and written by Raphael Montes and Mariana Torres, the psychological thriller is inspired by the real-life case of Elize Matsunaga. The film explores the events surrounding the murder of her husband and the turbulent relationship that preceded the crime.
