Netflix increases subscription prices in UK, Germany, and US

Netflix is implementing subscription price increases across several major markets, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, and the United States. The company stated that these adjustments reflect improvements to its entertainment range and service quality.

In the United Kingdom, the price of the ad-supported Standard plan rose from £5.99 to £7.99, representing a jump of over 33%. The ad-free Standard plan increased from £12.99 to £13.99, while the Premium plan rose from £18.99 to £20.99. This marks the second price hike in the UK in less than two years.

In Germany and Austria, all three subscription tiers are increasing by 2 euros per month. The ad-supported plan moves to 6.99 euros, the Standard plan to 15.99 euros, and the Premium plan to 21.99 euros. Fees for adding extra members outside a primary household are also increasing.

In the United States, where new rates were implemented in March 2026, the ad-supported tier rose to $8.99, the Standard tier to $19.99, and the Premium tier to $26.99. New subscribers are subject to these prices immediately, while existing members typically receive notification via email before the changes appear on their upcoming bills.
