Netflix launches final season of 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' series
Netflix announced the release of the concluding season of its adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez’s novel *One Hundred Years of Solitude*. The second part of the series will be split into two halves, with the first seven episodes arriving on August 5 and the finale episode on August 26.
Vice‑president for content in Latin America, Francisco Ramos, explained that the novel’s scope required a longer, film‑like ending, leading to a special feature‑length finale directed by Laura Mora. The new season will continue to follow the Buendía family and the fate of the fictional town of Macondo, completing the audiovisual rendition of the literary classic.
