Netflix pulls Kim's Convenience and ten other series in 2026 content purge

Netflix will remove all five seasons of the Canadian sitcom *Kim's Convenience* from its catalogue on June 1, 2026. The series, which starred Simu Liu and featured the Korean‑immigrant Kim family, had been praised by critics and was originally renewed for a sixth season before ending abruptly after its fifth.

The removal is part of a broader 2026 culling in which Netflix has cancelled ten shows across various genres. Cancelled titles include the drama *Miss Governor*, the reality dating series *Pop the Balloon*, the western *The Abandons*, as well as *Class*, *Alice in Borderland*, *Terminator Zero* and others. Several creators and lead actors, such as Terri J. Vaughn and Kurt Sutter, publicly expressed disappointment over the abrupt decisions. The cuts affect productions that ranged from single‑season experiments to series that had found regional success, such as *Class* in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
