Netflix Purges 36 Films Including 'Heat' and 'Pulp Fiction' While Adding New Series and Movies

Netflix announced it will delete 36 movies from its library before June 30, among them the 1990s classics Heat, Pulp Fiction, Jordan Peele's Us, and the Madagascar family saga. The removals stem from expiring licensing deals with major studios, prompting the streamer to fill the gap with original productions.

At the same time, Netflix is expanding its catalogue with fresh content. New releases this week include the Spanish thriller series Oasis, the documentary Várzea: Where Football Is Born, the romantic comedy Messages for Isabelle starring Zoey Deutch, and the action‑comedy Husbands in Action. The platform also debuting the miniseries Te encontraré, based on a Harlan Coben novel, as part of its push for titles that never expire.
