Netflix raises subscription prices in Brazil

Netflix has implemented a price increase for its subscription plans in Brazil. The adjustments affect all tiers, including the ad-supported option, the standard plan, and the premium plan.

The ad-supported plan increased from R$ 20.90 to R$ 25.90 per month, representing a 23.9% rise. The standard plan (without ads) rose from R$ 44.90 to R$ 51.90, an increase of approximately 15.6%. The premium plan, which offers 4K resolution and allows for four simultaneous devices, saw the largest absolute increase, rising from R$ 59.90 to R$ 71.90 per month.

Netflix stated that the new pricing will help expand its catalog of films and series. This adjustment follows a previous price change in May 2024. Existing subscribers will be notified via email approximately one month before the new rates are applied to their billing cycle.
