Netflix reveals trailer for One Hundred Years of Solitude finale

Netflix has released a trailer for the grand finale of its series adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez’s “One Hundred Years of Solitude”. The special final episode, directed by Laura Mora, is scheduled to premiere on August 26.

Conceived with the scale of a feature film, the finale will depict the conclusion of the Buendía family saga and the ultimate destruction of Macondo. The narrative follows the final generations, including Aureliano Babilonia, as he attempts to decipher Melquíades’ manuscripts. Key plot points include the return of José Arcadio from Rome and the birth of the final descendant, which fulfills the family's long-standing prophecy.

The production was filmed entirely in Colombia and was created with the support of the García Márquez family. The series has seen significant viewership, appearing as a trending title in several regions including Colombia.
