Netflix releases mystery series ‘El problema final’

The Netflix miniseries ‘El problema final’, an adaptation of a mystery novel by Arturo Pérez-Reverte, has premiered. Directed by Félix Viscarret, the production is a ‘whodunit’ set in 1959 on a Mallorcan islet, featuring a group of suspects trapped in a closed setting.

Cast members Maribel Verdú and Martiño Rivas have discussed their roles in the production. Verdú portrays an enigmatic hotel manager with a dark past who maintains authority through silence and control. Rivas plays Francisco Foxá, an aspiring writer acting as an improvised assistant to the character played by Jose Coronado.

The series utilizes a classic mystery structure reminiscent of Agatha Christie, inviting viewers to solve the enigma alongside the protagonists.
