Netflix releases trailer for K-drama ‘Take Charge of My Heart’

Netflix has released the official trailer and poster for the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama, ‘Take Charge of My Heart’ (Um Choque de Amor), scheduled to premiere on October 9.

Starring Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang, the series follows Na Bo Bae, a screenwriter who possesses the ability to generate electricity after being struck by lightning as a child. This condition prevents her from having physical contact with others without causing electric shocks. Her life changes when she encounters Baek Ho Rang, a chaebol heir and luxury resort executive who uses an artificial heart.

Ho Rang discovers that Bo Bae is the only person capable of recharging the battery of his artificial heart. To maintain his health while awaiting surgery and pursuing a corporate promotion, he proposes a three-month cohabitation agreement. In exchange, Bo Bae seeks his assistance in fulfilling a romantic wish list to find inspiration for her writing. The production is directed by Park Soo Won and is based on a Naver web novel.
