Netflix release of Korean drama Love Recharge

Overview

Netflix has announced the October 9 premiere of a new Korean romantic comedy series, referred to as ‘Love Recharge’ or ‘Take Charge of My Heart’ (Um Choque de Amor). Based on a popular web novel, the fantasy drama stars Kim Young-kwang as Baek Ho-rang, a chaebol heir with an artificial heart, and Chae Soo-bin as Na Bo-bae, a writer who can generate electricity following a childhood lightning strike.

The plot centers on a ‘physical contact contract’ between the two characters, where Na Bo-bae provides the electrical energy necessary to recharge Baek Ho-rang’s heart before his upcoming surgery, while he assists her in fulfilling a romantic bucket list.
