Netflix releases trailer for “One Hundred Years of Solitude” Part 2 series

Netflix announced the official trailer for the second and final part of its adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez’s novel *One Hundred Years of Solitude*. The new season, titled “Cem Anos de Solidão: Parte 2,” will debut on the streaming platform on 5 August with seven episodes, while the concluding episode will be released separately on 26 August.

The trailer showcases the continued decline of the fictional town of Macondo, the arrival of the railway and banana trade, and the inter‑generational conflicts of the Buendía family. Cast members highlighted include Julián Román, María Adelaida Puerta, and Ángela Can, among others. The series represents the first audiovisual adaptation of the Nobel‑winning novel and is being promoted primarily by Netflix Brazil.
