Netflix releases trailer for ‘Stranger Things: Tales from ’85’ Season 2

Netflix has released a trailer for the second season of the animated prequel series ‘Stranger Things: Tales from ’85’. The upcoming season is scheduled to premiere globally on September 17, 2026, consisting of eight half-hour episodes.

Set against the backdrop of Valentine’s Day in Hawkins, the plot follows the main characters as they encounter ghostly apparitions, a swarm of creatures known as ‘hate sprites,’ and a mysterious blue entity that appears resistant to Eleven’s powers. The narrative is positioned within the franchise timeline between the second and third seasons of the live-action series.

The production features a voice cast including Brooklyn Davey Norstedt, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, Luca Diaz, Elisha “EJ” Williams, Braxton Quinney, Ben Plessala, and Brett Gipson. Showrunner Eric Robles returns to lead the series, with executive production by Matt and Ross Duffer via Upside Down Pictures, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps. Animation is provided by Australia-based Flying Bark Productions.
