The group encounters new supernatural threats, including mysterious blue flowers, ghostly apparitions known as ‘hate sprites’, and a mysterious blue entity that appears resistant to Eleven’s powers. The narrative will explore new locations, such as an unexplored mine beneath Hawkins, while revisiting familiar settings like Hawkins Middle School and the Palace Arcade.

Showrunner Eric Robles returns, with executive production by the Duffer brothers, Shawn Levy, and Dan Cohen. Animation is provided by Australia-based Flying Bark Productions.
