Netflix seeks 4,000 extras for Oktoberfest film production

Netflix is seeking up to 4,000 extras for an upcoming romantic comedy set against the backdrop of the Munich Oktoberfest. The production, which features an international star cast, aims to capture the loud, colorful, and lively atmosphere of the festival.

The film is being produced by Wiedemann & Berg, the production company known for the series ‘Dark’. Filming is scheduled to take place in Upper Bavaria from September to November, utilizing locations such as the Penzing Studios near Landsberg am Lech and various sites within Munich, including the Oktoberfest grounds.

Casting calls are open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Specific roles include festival attendees, tent staff, ride enthusiasts, children, traditional Bavarian costume wearers, and brass musicians. While wearing traditional ‘Tracht’ is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement for applicants.
